• Who are 3D PRINT DYNAMICS?

3D PRINT DYNAMICS is a creative studio focusing on the use of 3D design and 3D printing technologies in the creative industry, established in 2015, now with 27 years experience in the design industry, we are based in Ripon, North Yorkshire, UK.

• What is 3D Printing?

3D printing, also referred to as additive manufacturing, is the process of creating a physical 3D object from a digital file. Using special software, the digital file (.stl, .3mf) is then sliced, with each slice representing a layer, the sliced file (G-code) is then sent to the 3D printer which forms 3D objects using successive layers of material.

• What types of 3D printing do you work with?

We work with a range of 3D printers, mainly, SLA, SLS & MJF and a wide range materials including photo-polymer resins, powdered nylons.

• What is SLA Printing?

Stereolithography (SLA), also known as resin 3D printing, is an additive manufacturing process that employs liquid photo-sensitive polymers that solidify into a solid state upon exposure to light.

• What is SLS Printing?

Selective laser sintering (SLS) is an additive manufacturing process that utilises fine powdered polymers as raw materials. These polymers are sintered using high-powered lasers, which solidify them into a solid shape.

• What is MJF Printing?

Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) is an additive manufacturing process that employs thermoplastic powders and inkjet technology to fuse raw materials and fabricate solid components.

• What is the maximum print size?

SLA - 353 x 196 x 350 mm
SLS - 600 x 300 x 300 mm
MJF - 350 x 350 x 255 mm

• What layer height/thickness do you use?

SLA - Standard is 100 microns or 0.1 mm (with 50 microns or 0.05 mm & 25 microns or 0.025 mm is also possible depending on the file).
SLS - Standard is 100 microns or 0.1 mm
MJF - Standard is 100 microns or 0.1 mm

• How long does 3D printing take?

3D print times vary depending on the printer type, material, size and any finishing/post processing, once we have your .stl or .3mf file(s) we can provide a more accurate estimate. Please note: we are unable to quote for 3D printing without a printable .stl or .3mf file(s).

• How much do you charge for printing?

Due to the complexities of 3D printing, we price all projects on an individual basis depending on requirements, please email your .stl or .3mf file(s) to us at info@3dprintdynamics.com (for larger files we recommend using wetransfer.com) with your specifications. Please note: we are unable to quote for 3D printing without a printable .stl or .3mf file(s).

• What payment method do you accept?

Payment is accepted by BACS (bank transfer).

• How do I get an estimate?

You can contact us on 01765 600835 to discuss your project, for all 3D printing estimates please send us your .stl or .3mf file(s) to info@3dprintdynamics.com (for larger files we recommend using wetransfer.com). All quotations are FREE and we will respond ASAP. Please note: we are unable to quote for 3D printing without a printable .stl or .3mf file(s).
