• Who are 3D PRINT DYNAMICS?
3D PRINT DYNAMICS aims to explore the creative uses of 3D Design & 3D Printing. We are based in Ripon, North Yorkshire, UK
• What is 3D Printing?
3D printing, also referred to as additive manufacturing, is the process of creating a physical 3D object from a digital file. Using special software, the digital file (.stl) is then sliced, with each slice representing a layer, the sliced file (G-code) is then sent to the 3D printer which forms 3D objects using successive layers.
• What 3D printers do you use?
Formlabs Form 3, LFS Printers.
• What is LFS Printing?
Low Force Stereolithography (LFS) is a 3D printing process using linear illumination with photo-polymer resins with a flexible tank to turn liquid resin into solid parts.
• What is the maximum print size?
SLA - 145mm x 145mm x 185mm - we can also source for larger prints, please contact us with your specifications
SLS - 300mm x 230mm x 180mm
• What is the best Print Quality/Layer Thickness?
25 microns or 0.025 mm for SLA
100 microns or 0.1mm for SLS
• How long does 3D printing take?
This varies depending on the size and quality of the print, it can range from several minutes to several hours, once we have your .stl file we can give a more accurate estimate.
• How much do you charge for printing?
Due to the complexities of 3D printing, we price all projects on an individual basis depending on requirements, please email your .stl file(s) to us at with your specifications. Please note: we are unable to quote without a printable .stl file.
• What payment method do you accept?
Payment is accepted by BACS (bank transfer), account information is provided on all estimates.
• How do I get a quote?
Please email your .stl file(s) to us at All quotations are FREE and we will respond ASAP. Please note: we are unable to quote without a printable .stl file.
